That’s it…just pure sweetness from tonights session. It was the first time I’d meant them, and I only wish I could have more clients just like them. They were tender and sweet with their little girl, they were relaxed, fun, and kind. Thank you for being you!  I told you I’d have a few up before you left the State! Have a fabulous time with family and friends and safe travels!

They live in Oregon, their home is modern…I wanted to pop colors, have a funky location, but still reflect the softness of an amazing little family.

I don’t get the chance to photograph people from my home town very often. So, its a pleasure when people in this beautiful place really realize how amazing it is. AND, its even better when they say something to the affect of…”we have this really old truck that I think you might like, lots of weeds, and a few acres of really cool property behind our home.”  Thus, up next, two cutie little ladies, two good lookin parents, and one VERY cool truck.

AND…when you have a cool truck like this, how can you not do some “vintage love” with a bit of a pop. It was nice to get back to my roots….manipulating the heck out of a picture!  Ahhh….texture, saturation, the perfect little look…Too much fun….

I often get asked by parents at family sessions….”so, should we take some pictures of just the ‘two of us’?”   AND, to that, I add a resounding “Yes Mam…!”  Quite frankly, I think they might be some of the most tender, important images of the session. The images I capture of couples…those who have been the rounds of years together, faced sadnesses, trials…dissapointments and joys…those captures take my breath away when they come up on my screen. The cute, sometimes silly kiss…the funny, endearing look….the one that says… “yep, I might be making a funny face as I look into your eyes right now…but you know deep down that I love your more than ever’.  The moment that says…”this smirk means more than any “dreamy eyed look” from a dating couple… those are the moments I try so hard to capture.

So, if you’re brave enough, if you know your love has withstood the test of time thus far and you’re not afraid to let me capture it now, please… pretty please…keep asking, “do we take pictures of the two of us together…”
